Fall 2005
Internet Design Tools - Class Description: Upon completion of this course, the student will have mastered implementation of Macromedia Dreamweaver to rapidly develop web sites, client side scripting and server side scripting, including database connection. Graphic development with Macromedia Fireworks is also introduced including Fireworks and Dreamweaver integration.
Class Assignments
Assignment One - Create a web page with at least 3 image maps taking you to another page. Link to
this page from your menu.
Assignment Two - Create a 3 page web site linked together using one of the color schemes from
Dreamweaver. Each page must have an image, a title and metatags describing the
page and providing keywords. Upload all the pages and images and link to it from
your menu on your site.
Assignment Three - Correctly put the puzzle pieces together in a table.
Assignment Four - Create a web page that uses CSS, at least one rollover and at least one Flash
button. Upload it to your site and link to it from your menu page
Assignment Five - create a form
Assignment Six - Develop an image with certain words as the text. The image should make you think of that word
Assignment Seven - Create a picture using a mask effect. Be creative
Assignment Eight - Create an animated GIF banner in Fireworks. Create a web page in Dreamweaver that includes the animated GIF. Take the user to another site when they click on the banner.
Assignment Nine - Create a website with at least 5 pages. All the graphics should be created by you. Use either a drop down menu, rollovers buttons or flash buttons for navigation. Navigation should be consistent. The title of the site should be a graphic you created. It must have an animated GIF. Use a table to layout your pages and use CSS to do all colors. It must have one form as well. Pick a theme for your site. Upload it to your site and link to it from your menu page
