Stats Name: Midnight |
About After Sunny died, and Moonie was close to passing, we got Midnight from our neighbor, the same one we got Frosty from. Her mother's cat had kittens and my sister picked out Midnight and named her. I remember how my sister walked home with Midnight on her shoulder. When we got home Midnight hid under the chair and would not come out. For a long time Midnight was only my sister's cat and she wouldn't be friendly with anyone else in my house, not until she was older. One of our funny stories about Midnight is that my mom had trouble figuring out what sex Midnight is because she was so squirmish and for a long time we thought she was male- until my mom took her to the vet to have her fixed and we got a phone call from the vet asking if we knew that Midnight was female. Midnight has been the only female cat my family has owned. One of her favorite things she does a lot is sit on our shoulders like a parrot. We also have a metal towel holder on the bathroom door and she used to jump on the sink and onto the towel holder and just sit or walk on it and meow. One of the most annoying things she does is carry her dry food all over the house and eat it but leave crumbs for us to walk on and for me to have to vacuum up. Midnight also has nasal pollyps, which means that she sneezes a lot, and sneezes very nasty. Fortunately, she can get shots for this, which help for a little while. When we take her to the vet, Midnight typically sits on my lap and looks out the window, sitting so that she looks like a groundhog. Besides all of her annoying habits, Midnight is very sweet, and always wants attention. Now that she's getting pretty old, she has arthritis and has a lot of trouble moving, so she spends a lot of the day just sleeping. *updated 4 - 25 - 2008* |
