Totem guardians or spirits can be any animal or species that connect with in some way. Maybe you love to watch that animal in nature, perhaps you can relate to it, or perhaps you feel safer when one is around.

I love all animals and relate to many of them but for me my guardians are the cat, wolf, spider, and unicorn. Yes, the creature can even be mythical. Cats provide much enjoyment and comfort (and ofcourse entertainment) in my life. They have proved to be some of my best friends throughout my life. Spiders often are a message of warning to me, and they haunt my dreams, year after year. If I get the feeling that something bad is about to happen or something is going wrong, I look for a spider. For most of my life I've felt this great urge to run (even though I'm extremely akward on my feet and usually hurt myself everytime I attempt to run), and that part of me relates to the wolf. Unicorns provide a feeling of security for me. Often when I go out in or near the woods I feel as if one were watching me or I watching it. Perhaps a part of the running sensation lives within the unicorn as well.

Below are my totems, and you can get one or more like them at the following site. There are lots to choose from.
